A Beginner and Intermediate band program from 4th to 5th grade Instruments: flute, saxophone, clarinet, and trumpets Flute (4th and 5th graders only) Bb Clarinet Eb Alto Sax Bb Trumpet/Cornet Percussion(Mostly on Drum Pads with some playing time on Buckets for concerts) Total Fee: $585 for 13 weeks No prior experience is required Dates: Thursdays, September 10 – December 17 (No class on October 22 and November 26) Location: room 22, music room at Montclaire Elementary Performance: December 17 Time: 3:10 PM to 4:10 PM except: ** - Thursday, October 1: 1:15 PM – 2:15 PM - Thursday, October 8: 1:15 PM – 2:15 PM ** Class Dates: September 10th, 17th, 24th October 1st, 8th, 15th, 29th November 5th, 12th, 19th December 3rd, 10th, 17th ***Students MUST bring their own instruments.*** ***Monclaire Fall 2026 Band Program Syllabus from Mr. Hector. Instruction is differentiated so that each student is challenged appropriately, whether they are just starting or building on skills from a previous session. To ensure the safety of all students and to comply with California safety guidelines, we have a strict pick-up policy and we ask all families to please follow these arrival and dismissal procedures: Late Pick Up Please arrive 5 minutes early for pick-up to ensure a smooth transition when class ends; a $1 charge will apply for every minute past the end time. Our instructors will be preparing for their next classes and appreciate your understanding of our pick-up policy, and adherence to our pick-up policy. Group Classes Policies: 1. To maintain continuity in our program, students who attend the first class and choose to withdraw from the course prior to the commencement of the second class are eligible for a refund. Once the second class has begun, no refunds or credits will be issued. 2. No makeup, refund, or credit for any missed classes, if student is absent from class.
