Service Description

A Beginner and Intermediate band program from 4th to 5th grade Instruments: flute, saxophone, clarinet, and Trumpets Flute (4th and 5th graders only) Bb Clarinet Eb Alto Sax Bb Trumpet/Cornet Percussion(Mostly on Drum Pads with some playing time on Buckets for concerts) Total Fee: $800 for 20 weeks No prior experience is required Dates: Thursdays, January 8th to June 4th (No class on: February 19th and April 16th) Location: room 22, music room at Montclaire Elementary Time: 3:10 PM to 4:10 PM except: ** June 4th: 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM ** Class Dates: January 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th February 5th, 12th, 26th March 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th April 2nd, 9th, 23rd, 30th May 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th June 4th ***Students MUST bring their own instruments.*** This mixed-level class welcomes students who are brand-new to band as well as those who have completed one session of band in Fall 2025. Students will learn foundational techniques, develop strong playing habits, and practice ensemble music together. Instruction is differentiated so that each student is challenged appropriately, whether they are just starting or building on skills from a previous session. To ensure the safety of all students and to comply with California safety guidelines, we have a strict pick-up policy and we ask all families to please follow these arrival and dismissal procedures: Late Pick Up Please arrive 5 minutes early for pick-up to ensure a smooth transition when class ends; a $1 charge will apply for every minute past the end time. Our instructors will be preparing for their next classes and appreciate your understanding of our pick-up policy, and adherence to our pick-up policy. Group Classes Policies: 1. To maintain continuity in our program, students who attend the first class and choose to withdraw from the course prior to the commencement of the second class are eligible for a refund. Once the second class has begun, no refunds or credits will be issued. 2. No makeup, refund, or credit for any missed classes, if student is absent from class.
