Service Description

Saturday 1/11/25 to 3/22/25 Time: 10:10 to 11:00 AM Fees: $440 for 11 weeks Ages: 6-under 8 Y Group Classes Policies: 1. Refunds will not be issued 5 calendar days or less before the start of the class. 2. Withdrawals requested 6 or more calendar days prior to the first meeting class will incur a 15% processing fee. 3. No makeup, refund, or credit for any missed classes, if student is absent from class. Overview: This fun and interactive course will introduce young students to basic recorder playing and essential music skills. This is a great class for students who are interested in exploring other wind instruments in the future, such as flute, clarinet, or trumpet. What to Expect: Each group class is full of exciting musical activities that help students learn basic fundamentals of music. Our curriculum focuses on important skills such as: Rhythms: Students will explore various rhythms through clapping and playing exercises to help them develop a strong sense of timing and a steady beat. Note Reading: With easy-to-follow visual aids and reading exercises, students will learn how to read music notation. Breath Control: Students will learn how to breathe properly, control their breath, and produce good tones on the recorder. Materials: Please have a recorder (preferably owned), “Essential Elements for Recorder, Book 1,“ and a pencil ready for each class.
